Tees, Polos & Pullovers, in plain words

The tops bench is where Pudolla staples fill in the drawer. Running tees in a light polyester knit the maker calls moisture-wicking, in a dozen colours. Long sleeve golf polos with the maker's UPF 50+ rating for a morning round. Quarter-zip pullovers in a brushed fleece for the walk to the gym and back. Sherpa-lined crewneck sweatshirts for the coldest months, and thermal base layers for under all of it.

Each card names the sleeve, the knit where the maker states it, and whether there is a hood or a zip. None of it is a jacket: for wind and rain, see the jackets bench, and for a full day in the sun, the sun shirts.

How to pick the size

Tees and polos run true and are cut straight, not slim. Pullovers and sweatshirts run a size generous so a tee fits underneath. The thermal base layers are cut close and should be taken in your usual size, not up.

What it does not do. A quarter-zip fleece is not a windproof layer, and a sherpa sweatshirt is not for running: it is warm because it is heavy.
